Sometimes at Oh Perfect Day we work with clients that excite and inspire us with their willingness to push the envelope when it comes to styling. Megan and Sam were just such a pair - ready to forget tradition and embrace new concepts.
When we first met with the couple, they had already booked two fabulous spaces: Two Ton Max in North Melbourne (a modern, industrial, warehouse style venue) and Queens Hall in the State Library of Victoria (an incredibly grand, heritage space in Melbourne's CBD). They had also selected their bridesmaid dresses - stunning, floor-length, sparkled, black gowns .
Oh Perfect Day's brief was to create a day that was not only visually stunning, but that reflected their personal style and complemented both of the very distinct venues the couple had chosen (incorporating the black bridesmaids gowns). The pair didn't want a day that looked like every other wedding (music to our ears!) and wanted to incorporate metallics and bright pops of colour.
The result was a wedding where modern and retro touches met art deco twists. Accents of glam gold (including Oh Perfect Day's fabulous, new gold hanging planters) met with bright pops of 'radiant orchid' florals set against abundant and organic green foliage supplied by Flower Jar.
Marble was a feature, inspired by the venue's stunning marble bar, and Dann Event Hire's Aura range featuring marble and gold bar tables and stools were brought in to further enhance the marble theme.
