Some very special little lovelies arrived in the OPD Hire Boutique this week. These beauties were living in an old milk bar and are just brimming with character.
This pretty crate collection is perfect for a vintage, eclectic, rustic or boho weddings ...but we can see them featuring in almost any style of day.
We are so excited about this lucky little find that we wanted to share some crate-worthy inspiration that you can adopt for your very own perfect day. With a bit of clever thinking, this most versatile of decor elements can be used in a multitude of ways.
1. Floral vessels
Classically gorgeous, florals in crates and boxes make for the most stunning wedding decor and are perfect for just about any spot, especially table centrepieces.
2. Program & confetti displays
What could be sweeter than some gorgeous confetti cones or handmade programs stacked up in vintage wood crates? Lovely.
3. Ceremony decor
Place crates along your aisle filled with flowers or stack them up at your altar and cover in candles for an ethereal glow.
4. Escort card displays
Escort cards look divine stacked in a bed of blooms or displayed on crate 'shelving'. We're a big fan of escort cards in general, and if you're not quite sure what they are, check out this post.
4. Coffee & side tables
Complement your outdoor lounge area with crate coffee and side tables. Add some pretty florals to create the perfect picture.
Create some impact with crate 'shelves' filled with candlelight and foliage. Stack or hang boxes haphazardly and use repetition to create impact.
6. Bar decor
Use of crates and boxes to style your bar is only limited by your imagination. Stack them as shelves to display drinks and glassware, place jars or bottles in them, stack them high to add height to your display or even use them as the base of your table.
7. Suspended florals
Hanging decor up high adds a whole lot of wow to your styling. And when it's vintage timber boxes filled with beautiful blooms, how could you go wrong?
8. Dessert displays
Stack your luscious desserts or cake on wooden crates or use them to create a mini 'backdrop' for your table. Just add foliage, florals or candles for the finishing touch.
